AB 619 of 2006 allows patrons who purchase a bottle of wine at a restaurant to take the bottle with them if they choose not to finish the bottle there. The bottle of wine will be recorked and a receipt will be taped to the bottle. The bottle must be transported in a trunk or storage compartment of the vehicle to be taken home. The wine must be taken out of the restaurant before midnight.
