KANSAS

SB 297 allows club or drinking establishments, holding a Class A or B license, to allow its legal patrons to carryout partially consumed containers of alcoholic liquor, so long as the liquor is in its original container and is sealed in a tamper-proof transparent bag accompanied by a dated receipt. Patrons are still subject to open container laws, and must store the partially consumed container of alcohol either in a locked compartment or behind the last upright seat in a vehicle without a trunk.

TESTIMONIAL

"This is one of the best products that I have seen which enables restauranteurs to increase wine sales, comply with the law, and still decrease their potential for liability."
